This designation from the National Arbor Day Foundation recognizes utilities for their "creative commitment to public education, tree planting and quality tree care." To earn this recognition, Stoughton Utilities makes a consistent effort to use safe, environmentally friendly pracctices for trimming trees away from the power lines. Our crews use directional pruning techniques approved by the National Arrbor Day Foundation and trim trees along our primary and secondary electric lines on a four to five year cycle.
